How long have I had not bought a Blu-Ray… especially strolling around rather than on the internet and even more without too knowledgeable on it myself before. But sometimes it's nice to be tempted and to discover new things to chance, besides, I admit I fell for Panic sur Florida Beach primarily for the retro design of his jacket. Ceci dit, to have ever watched 3 films at the time I speak to you (they will not last long… ) I can tell you that I have not been disappointed.

Samsung Mega Drive : Super Gam*Boy !
Last Update: September 5th 2013
It’s been quite a while now that I have had some deep interest for the South Korean video game market. It first started a few years back when I moved to Hong Kong for a job at a videogames online retailing company. I started getting a few Playstation 2 and Gamecube Korean games because these were offering Japanese artworks with English ingame texts. That was until I found out about a retro-gaming market in South Korea. As a collector of Japanese games I found it very interesting to see that Korea had an alternative market of its own. And as a true Megadrive Fan I just went crazy when I found out about all the Sega games and systems sold in Korea under the Samsung license. I’ve already introduced the Hyundai Super Comboy aka Super Nintendo with my small collection of games to my French readers here and here and now the time has come to introduce you to the Samsung Super Gam*Boy!
Samsung Megadrive : Super Gam*Boy !
-Updated : 5 September 2013-
It's been a while since I was very interested in the video game market South Korean. It all started a few years ago when I moved to Hong Kong for a job with a large sign of the online sales of video games. I remember I bought some Korean games on Playstation 2, then on Game Cube because they offered the advantage of having a beautiful packaging, similar to the Japanese versions, but with a game while English. All was well until one day I discovered the existence of a retro-gaming market South Korean. As a collector of Japanese games primarily, I found particularly interesting the fact that South Korea has had a market exists for itself and do not party at all “Asia”. Of course, as a fan of the first hour of the Sega Megadrive, I was speechless when I saw the first photos of consoles and games Sega Koreans distributed by Samsung. I had already presented the Super Comboy Hyundai here and is and my small collection of games for this console, it's time for me now present to you the wonderful Super Gam * Boy from Samsung !

Hacks et X into 1 Megadrive
Today I will present some of the cartridges that I brought back from China for Megadrive. I've shown you some Famicom for a few days ago but know that these cartridges are also available for 16bit Sega. I dug up two 4 in 1 and a 8 in 1 (it is really excellent). But be aware that in China (and Russia, but we shall see in a future post), there is another phenomenon : that of Rom-Hack. The Rom-Hack is, at the base, to rip sprites and sets a variety of games to create new from a motor home. Often you end up with games not really terrible, but some still deserves to stand out. I will present four right here, for better or for worse…

T-Shirts Panda-Box
Here's a ticket that will definitely please you much. Anyway when I came across these t-shirts and this cushion cover, My heart missed a beat before I start to stack without counting. Deflection of Doraemon based hero cartoons or video games ? This is an original idea that I was hooked ! A 40 Yuan a piece as you say the only thing I reasoned in the end it was to think the weight of my luggage and instead I had left… otherwise I will have taken many more. Besides, I'll show you other designs in this post (an extract) and you will understand why I was like a madman…
Quand au T-shirt Shin Chan, he made me laugh so I went with also.

Chinese Famicom cartridges 小霸王 and x in 1
To explain in detail my retro-gaming purchases made during my last trip to China, I decided to open the ball with a clone Famicom mint and boxed with excellent workmanship with a few cartridges say X in 1 (include several games in an). Before entering it into the thick of it, I want to digress and say that most of the things I'll show you in the coming days are obviously not official (except games Ique), and besides, I'm sure some of you will not hesitate to claim that these objects therefore have no value in terms of collection. I should mention that I'm not entirely agree with this concept because, as a true retrogamer I am also interested in different markets of video games in the world and their history. These versions, While pirates, are an integral part of the history of video games in China (countries where they are still officially banned!) and therefore in my view their place in my collection and my culture videogame. In addition it is very cool objects, exotic, and not very common in our region. Now I close this digression to introduce you to my new famicom.

Beijing, back.
Here I am back from my trip to 10 days in Beijing. I can say that I took feast my eyes and I have met many people of different nationalities during my stay (Chinese, English, American, Spanish, Colombian, Costa-rica-ien?… ). It gave me a lot of good to get this international social and nightlife, and it allowed me to stretch my English a little that I did not have much chance to talk in recent years. I have also discovered another facet of China very different from what I had already explored, with enquiquinements, moments rigollots, sometimes surprising gastronomy, its shopping and mentality well apart. In this post, I suggest you some pictures of my last visits : The Towers of the Bell and Drum, the Great Wall, la Factory 798, and finally the Olympic Park with a series in Black & White and an overview of shopping done on site!
