Well no, this blog is not dead, I have just over one second for me to feed. In fact I returned to school and my two year old girl holds me well.
Since the last update I've obviously got tons of games and some consoles. Finally, few games “Current-Gen”, as they say in informed circles, but especially the retro !
I received récement another beautiful piece that I really wanted to introduce. This console NEO-GEO AES South Korean manufactured and Continue reading →
Over the last years, I’ve presented a bunch of South Korean Hyundai Super Nintendo games on this blog. I haven’t updated that area of my collection since then because I’ve been busy with other things, like finishing the Samsung Super Gam*Boy article.
This article being *almost* completed, I decided to move on and spend some more time on gathering infos about Nintendo’s 16bit console Market in South Korea. Continue reading →
This is the tenth anniversary of the GameCube in France ! I seized the opportunity when the GameCube occupies minds to present an exclusive list and asked me several months of research : the master list of games released in South Korea. After talking with a Korean collector and scoured many blogs of retro-gaming in this country I think I can say today that the list is complete ! The “Full-setters” be happy, since it does not count that 27 titles… Unfortunately, like the iQue GBA games, they will be quite hard to find. Continue reading →
Among the recent arrivals, which received a big BIG package of Korea in the week (details to come), I received another box from Japan. The latter contains a few weeks of purchases on the site Yahoo Japan Auction. This is the first time I order on this site via a proxy (intermediate) and I must say I'm quite satisfied both of the latter for its reactivity, but also with my purchases. Besides, I've since taken over the shop ! Continue reading →
Here is 3 Korean small cartridges not commonly found in cheap. These are sized sets Master System / Mark III Japanese, ie with a box height and a different PCB, incompatible with our consoles Western. The Master System was released in Korea as the Gam*Boy and later in the year 90 under the name’Aladdin Boy ( see my folder on the Super Gam * Boy ), both in the form of a Master System 1 or 2 distributed by Samsung. So hard to find items, same as those in loose 3 games small games. Continue reading →

It’s been quite a while now that I have had some deep interest for the South Korean video game market. It first started a few years back when I moved to Hong Kong for a job at a videogames online retailing company. I started getting a few Playstation 2 and Gamecube Korean games because these were offering Japanese artworks with English ingame texts. That was until I found out about a retro-gaming market in South Korea. As a collector of Japanese games I found it very interesting to see that Korea had an alternative market of its own. And as a true Megadrive Fan I just went crazy when I found out about all the Sega games and systems sold in Korea under the Samsung license. I’ve already introduced the Hyundai Super Comboy aka Super Nintendo with my small collection of games to my French readers here and here and now the time has come to introduce you to the Samsung Super Gam*Boy!
