Here, in my shop, I descried a magazine layout and logo saying something vaguely. I approached the book-stall to see a little more prepared this magazine Retro Games and I discovered, as I thought, it was a first edition Special Edition and VF excellent magazine RetroGamer edited by imagine-publishing in England. I have some back issues of the English version of the magazine, this is why I recognized this logo, but note the way the subtle name change.
Sold 12,90€ (is not given), magazine is still some 180 pages and comes in a large and significant size. I say significant because I think it brings a little variety from the Mook format very in vogue. Found relating thereto relating to the layout which is the strength of the British version and the topics covered in this first issue are as varied and interesting example of the history of gear, series, December anecdotes, the flashbacks… The set is covered in a simple and well illustrated. Moreover, it is funny to see that most of the images and references that adorn the items are from magazines & Anglo-Saxon ads (old notes Mean Machines!), which is not so bad and to discover original content. Last in our own little friends across the Atlantic retail : excessive use of superlatives (collector, Latest, essential etc. )

Génial – un alternatif a Pix n love (dont les mooks Pix sont en ce qui me concerne de + in + décevant, avec une perte de qualité rédactionnelle) qui va apporter un peu de fraîcheur dans la presse rétro
Il n’ y a plus qu’à le trouver maintenant
Hum … 13 euros, is not given. Ca sent un peu l’opportunisme non cette publication ?

Oui je suis 100% d’accord 13 euros c’est pas donné mais il faut l’avoir en main, il est vraiment assez gros comme canard. Après si tu aimes la publication anglaise oui, je le recommande, moi je l’ai pris pour cette raison, j’adore la mise en page des RetroGamer UK. Comme le disait Radaj, c’est une sélection (je ne trouve pas que ce soit un bazar) des meilleurs articles de la mouture anglaise compilés dans un gros magazine.
Le mieux c’est d’aller le feuilleter chez ton buraliste, mais moi les mises en pages avec des gros pixels est des belles photos je ne résiste pas
Ca roule, j’irai y jeter un coup d’oeil demain si je mets la main dessus.
