Unlike the Megadrive, there is no NTSC-J or NTSC-U SNES : Japanese games work great on SNES U.S. and vice versa, everything that hinders it is the shape of the cartridge actually.
As against Roma, although compatible with consoles JPNUS are different. Most games contain Hyundai South Korean U.S. ROM in JPN / EURO cartridge.
