Made In Korea Vol-2 (QuackShot Starring Donald Duck)

It seems that when we love we do not count… Chic
Quackshot is simply in my TOP 10 of the best set of all time (that begins with Zelda 3, Mario 4, Sonic 1… ). I do not explain my passion for this game, but it is part of those I finish again and again without getting tired of, I know by heart and which I do not lose even more life! I just dig up in the Korean version (yet!) that's why I took the opportunity to do a group photo Nerd

Bogelins Mattel

Attention, after astujeux MB presented here I suggest another good large sequence nostalgia… The other day I stumbled upon a crazy thing on ebay… and apparently not many people remember these toys because I did not even have to fight to have the. Imagine that I found a “Boglins” Mattel complete box! You remember those kinds of rubber monsters sold in large cardboard boxes in imitation cage fawn ? At the end of year 80, just before the release of Gremlins 2, Mattel launched this range of toy, one could slip in hand and with a very clever mechanical puppet worthy of horror movies you could move the eyes in all directions, blink and move them to the mouth. Their eyes saw even in the dark ! In short it was terrible, we all wanted one at Christmas.

Akira – Famicom

Ahhh this is a consignment I like : a retro game with a beautiful packaging, buy cheap (less than 10 €!) and above all completely at random ! I told you before that I would eventually fall for Famicom games… if you remember… here… with the adapter “Gyromite”.

Good, I must say that I am a big fan of master Otomo and that’Akira (Akira) is one of the works that impressed me most as its subject matter, his world and his music as it evokes nostalgia (early Japanim “official” en france). I remember one night my dad had brought the videotape of the film by surprise… one of the most beautiful day of my life the day he brought me the cassette Ghostbusters and Christmas where I got my Megadrive, evidence I will still talk about Nerd

Crows Zero I & II, The Incredibles.

Et hop, Three new Blu-ray movies in the video library! The first box contains the 2 films “Crows Zero” director Takashi Miike, one of my favorite Japanese directors with Sogo Ishii and Takeshi Kitano (whose last feature film “Outrage” is really excellent also). Miike's films have the distinction of being always either hyper violent (voir Ichi the killer) or else downright unhealthy (I think back to Gozu… ) but sometimes comic fantastico (yokai wars, Sukiyaki Western Django). It is also to him that we owe the film adaptation times and my bad for not Ryu Ga Gotoku (yakuza). In 2 films Crows Zero, we are in the high school gang fight loubars : the “Bancho”. Another theme of violence so, but with some very funny moments, see fantastic (some guys are so hefty that is is simply inhuman!). If we could transpose a Beat'em all film, Crows Zero is the perfect example.

Made In Korea Vol-1 (Super Comboy)

Here is a small cardboard straight from South Korea. But what can it contain? I give you a clue : this is a magnificent piece of retro-gaming with the name 슈퍼 컴보이 (it should not really help you? ^^). Then you have found ? Yes I'm sure you've seen the look below.

Well it contains a “Super Comboy”! Kezako one Super Comboy? It's just a Super Nintendo officially sold in South Korea by Hyndai. Moreover it is NTSC 60hz so it would be even more of a Super Famicom Korean, although there is clearly marked above Super Nintendo. For info, controllers have long cables like we had in Europe and its original adapter plugs that has the same home and a 110/220v switch. In short a real small hybrid. But let the technical side and space for pictures as I propose here a side by side unique because it is the Super Comboy with its version of Super Mario All Stars Korean next to his Japanese counterpart, one Super Famicom (with its version of Super Mario All Stars also):
